At Deskpass we are committed to making our community as secure as possible.
Our optional identity (ID) verification feature allows members to authenticate themselves by submitting a government ID and the last few digits of their resident country ID number.
The verification information helps us to keep Deskpass secure, prevent fraud, and increase trust between Deskpass members and the Deskpass partner workspaces that are hosting new visitors.
Additionally, some spaces on the Deskpass network may require members to be verified in order to reserve and use their space.
This authentication feature is not a background check and Deskpass does not store images of your complete photo ID.
How does Deskpass verify my identity?
To process identity verifications, Deskpass has selected Stripe, a global online payment processing company for internet business, and utilizes their Stripe Identity feature for identity verification.
Verifying your identity is free, quick, easy, and secure. You can do it from your desktop or mobile device by following prompts in your Deskpass app, or by going to the Verification section in your Deskpass Account page.
Here’s how it works:
There are 2 steps to the identity verification process through Stripe.
First you will be prompted to scan both sides of your government-issued ID. A drivers license, passport, or national identity card is accepted.
To complete the process you will need to select your resident country and input the last few digits of your resident country ID number.
